The Gemini Poets of 1972 has no preface. The title derives from the fact that the six contributors all had birthdays between 11th and 17th June (only 15th June is lacking). Only one of the contributors knew all the others. The collection was sold in aid of the Christian Movement for Peace. A full account of the origins of The Gemini Poets can be found in Gemini Four (2011).
